Online marketers are very cautious about not making a mistake (and yet we still make them). How many times have your heart stopped when you realized you might have sent the email to the wrong recipient? How many times have you spotted a mistake or a typo in the marketing materials you were responsible for? Too many? Well, April Fool’s Day is but one day of the year when you can make funny mistakes without punishment.

Let’s take a look at the best spoofs and fake articles from around the world.

New Vegemite iDRINK 2.1.

Vegemite is a dark brown Australian food paste made from leftover brewers’ yeast extract with various vegetable and spice additives. LinkedIn Announces Cat Networking for Pawed Professionals

LinkedIn’s revolutionary new Cats You May Know initiative serves to connect the cat community by recommending furry new contacts to network with. The social networking site announced the new purr-oject in a blog post on Wednesday. To be honest, if LinkedIn really did that I would have probably had my account cancelled. With all my respect to the cat lovers, that would be simply too much.

The Guardian produced a video explaining the new system. Keith Morroni, a global transport consultant, explains the ‘spiral interchange’ method of crossing from a country which drives on the left to one that drives on the right. Good one, but I can’t imagine being fooled by that.
